Tabe (pronounced “tabby”) started several years ago after an impulsive shopping spree at Jo-Ann’s in Cool Springs. For some reason, unknown to me, I had been wanting (not wanting really but more like LONGING for) an embroidery machine when I wandered into a SALE! Now, there is nothing that says “BUY ME!” like a sale. So, with very little encouragement from the sales staff, I had my first embroidery machine! The fact that I had never sewn a stitch in my life didn’t cause a moment of hesitation. Now that I had the machine, I needed projects! Thank goodness I worked in a large corporate office where babies and weddings are a monthly occurrence. Soon, in addition to making my own presents, I began getting orders. Less than a year later it was time to retire my little machine and a purchase new Brother PR600. It has 6 needles, sews 1000 stitches a minute AND cuts the threads for you! It sure made the stack of growing orders easy work. Luckily around this time mom retired and we decided to combine efforts – she’d help with the sewing and I’d do the decorating. We leased booth space in a local shopping mall and at the Nashville Flea Market, and we opened our first retail store in the Providence Marketplace in Mt. Juliet, TN.

Providence is located 10 miles east of Nashville International Airport and boasts approximately 830,000 square feet of retail space. It was developed with a "Main Street" ambiance and offers a diverse mix of stores, including department stores, one of a kind retailers, specialty shops, restaurants and a 14 screen movie theater, in addition to key service- oriented retailers such as a Kroger grocery store. Our store features monogramming and embroidery, but we offer a diverse inventory of gifts. Perfect when you are shopping for the person who has everything! Remember when you shop with us, we give all our customers a special 10% discount VIP card for signing up for our distribution list. The VIP card is very easy to redeem and you can use on every purchase, although it isn't combinable with another coupon.  How to redeem: If shopping in the store or in person you simply need to show your card when checking out, we scan the barcode and you receive 10% off your total purchase price.
